Travel Technology - Verizon HTC Ozone Not Compatible OneSimCard.com Callback Service, Why?

I recently got a combined CDMA and GSM Verizon Wireless HTC Ozone phone, and VZW gave me an unlock code to allow for non VZW associated sim cards to be used. This phone runs Win Mobile 6.1.

I installed a prepaid international sim card from
http://onesimcard.com
in the phone, and it connects in the USA (for testing) to both AT&T and T-Mobile. I am also able to receive calls placed to the international phone number.

However, the phone will not place calls, briefly displaying a failure message.

I tried all the troubleshooting steps described on their web site such as using the prefix *146* before making the call. Also the web site refers to an application that should be on the phone called something like My OneSimCard but I cannot find this application, and I don't know what the role of the app is and/or if many sim cards have an associated app like this?

I called OneSimCard ccustomer service this morning, and they advised in general that their sim cards do not work with Verizon Wireless phones, even if said phones were GTSM and unlocked. They advise that VZW has some sort of software in the phone that presumably blocks their programming and also blocks an application called something like My OneSimCard from running.

I asked for more technical details on exactly what Verizon was blocking, and as to specifically why it will not work, and the representative was unable to provide said details. All he said was that they have had a lot of difficulty with Verizon Wireless phones, and essentially they tell customers not to use a VZW phone with their service.

I did check on the companys web site, and in fact, it says that they have not had trouble with HTZ phones before.

I know the OneSimCard service is a callback service eg you dial the destination tel# and then the system calls you back to place the call.

Does anyone have any idea why this will not work on a VZW HTC Ozone? Has anyone used the services of this company before?

I was disappointed that the company representative gave a non technical general response just saying it won't work with Verizon. I specifically asked him if there was an email address I could write too, or mor etechnical articles and documents I could read, and the rep said he was not aware of any., It is extremely frustrating not understanding why it won't work. I can live with it not working but I want to know why :). I also would be curious if there is a work around that might make it work?

I'll update this thread if I get any more info, maybe I can fax it to them and then can send it to their engineers.
Thank you.
