Other Hotel Programs - Prepaid rates at Sofitel - when do they charge the card?

Hi,

I booked a prepaid rate at Sofitel Heathrow this morning, and in the e-mail received afterwards, it says:

The client acknowledges that the full price of the stay will be charged when the booking is made

That was at 07:50 (local time, Norway) this morning, and my card still hasn't been charged. I'm just worried I might have punched in a wrong number, or something. Or don't they charge you untill later?

don't worry. You have your confirmation of booking and that's the only important thing. Actual debit on the CC may vary a lot between hotels (it's at their discretion). Generally, it's occuring within 3 days of booking but sometimes, they don't charge the CC in advance and finally you pay at the hotel.

This really varies. Sometimes it is paid immediately but in most cases it can be anytime between booking and your check in.

The Accor system is a bit strange in this regard. I once made a mistake entering the card and got a confirmation only for the hotel to tell me that nothing had been taken of the card and I then paid at the hotel.

As Goldorak said the important part is that you have a confirmation.
