Nordic Countries - Down Comforter (Duvet)

For those in the know, where would I find a good deal: Copenhagen or Reykjavik?

I don't know what the prices are like in Copenhagen so can't compare. But you can find duvets of all weights and fills at Hagkaup stores in Reykjavik - try Kringlan but if no joy there make the journey to Smaralind.

There are also speciality shops selling Icelandic eiderdown filled duvets, with the down coming from Myvatn. Try www.dunogfidur.is - good luck.

Note that we don't use "queen size", "king size" etc in the Scandinavian countries. You should figure out in advance what size you're looking for in centimeters (not inches).

And prepare for severe sticker shock should you decide to go for Eider down. :D

You may also consider Canada, which also has the eider ducks.
Not sure how the prices compare, but there is a shop in Toronto with these duvets.
