My family & I will be traveling on Midwest Airlines in December and I was wondering if my Delta Gold Medallion status will help me avoid paying luggage fees? Anyone have any experience with this matter? Thanks.

My family & I will be traveling on Midwest Airlines in December and I was wondering if my Delta Gold Medallion status will help me avoid paying luggage fees? Anyone have any experience with this matter? Thanks.
I'm a DL Silver and I've paid (July). I've also used a military ID (not on orders) and paid. The only time I didn't pay for bags (revenue ticket), I knew the CSR. My guess: you're going to pay.
It doesn't hurt to try, though. Let us know what happens.
