We're flying on IB from Miami to Madrid next week. Has anyone had any success upgrading at check-in?? If so how much was the uprade?? I'm platinum with sky team so that won't help on IB :(

I'd concentrate on getting a good seat in coach. :)

Yeah, keep no hopes for upgrades unless:
1. You decide to pay the fare difference between your coach ticket and full business fare, which probably will be around $3,500 each way.
2. You travel on Full Y and coach is overbooked.
As someone said, concentrate on getting good coach tickets.

Thanks for your opinions. We have what I would consider to be good coach seats so I guess that's where we'll be.
