So finally got around to getting QC membership at an awesome yearly rate!

Funnily enough I paid for the membership with my amex card and they sent out two complimentary invites (accidentally paid my last QF flight with my ANZ Gold, instead of my amex card) which I've passed onto a mate for him to enjoy.

Flying up to Brisbane from Melbourne at 1805 on QF632 and back home the next day, can't remember which one.

So how are the domestic QC's at Melbourne and Brisbane? Getting a little earlier to the airport on Friday to well give it a try :)

Not sure what class the fare is booked in but I travel with the army time to time and only get the full status credits and not the miles, not really a big deal.

Have a couple of trips back to the US planned already so looking forward to trying out more Qantas Clubs and an around the world the year after.

The army training should help when you're in the scrum for the party pies ;)

The lunchtime food has improved lately with a make your own sandwich setup.
Evening hot food is still pretty poor (what on earth are those pesto on a bun things?), ignore and head to the free bar instead.

Welcome to the QP (Qantas Pub). I'll literally just miss you, as my flight from HBA to MEL arrives just as you leave.

I haven't been to the BNE QP since Jan 06, and it wasn't the best back then due to the sheer volume of pax there and the lack of seating. Can't speak for the place since.

I have a fondness for the MEL QP, like SYD large and roomy, decent quality nosh, and brilliant views of the apron and runway for the aviation nuts.

Make sure you read this thread (http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/qantas-frequent-flyer/407229-ultimate-qantas-guide.html) for QF acronyms and the best corners of the lounge to sit in particually if you want to meet other FT and AFF members while there.

Part of the QP was converted into the J Lounge and there is usually lots of room in there. The rest of the QP of course has now less room than before.

I personally like the MEL QP a lot. Nice, roomy, good views and a nice atmosphere. Just like MEL itself.
