Do to different spending habits my gf and I have accumulated different numbers of BMI miles (64k and 96k). Obviously we'd prefer to go on a redemption together though. Is there any way of "pooling" these into 2 x 75k redemptions?

Many thanks,

Chris

You can't pool bmi miles like that. The best you can do is split the journeys down in one way redemptions. Sometimes that can work to help make the numbers add up. If not, you'd have to potentially buy some miles to top an account up to a level that works.

Look here sunshine, it was correct when I wrote it :p ;)

The very newly announced changes change that, so if the OP can wait until after Dec 1st to make the booking, then they can indeed pool the miles.

Good news!

Does anyone have knowledge if you will be able to pool destination miles earned through sign-up bonuses?

In theory, with recent sign-up bonuses at least, you are only able to spend them on the account holder. I don't know how well enforced this is, but you would expect that would still hold in principle if the miles were in a family account. In practice, who knows...

In fact, they have been strict on this for quite some time, after shelling out literally millions of miles on the great 9k sign-up bonus fiasco.

The sign-up miles need to be activated by someone at bmi, so I'm guessing that pooling a bunch of "family" members' signup miles won't work...
