US Airways Dividend Miles - CO *G select preferred or choice seats on US

I just booked my first US flight as a CO *G. Can I call and request preferred or choice seats, similar to how it was done in the Sky Team days?

Nope. Not an option for *A elites.

Keep in mind that US Choice seats are no different than any other seat in the cabin, only available for purchase or for US elites. It's the exit rows you want, only available to US elites and not for purchase. You'll have the same experience trying to get into E+ on UA. Got to be a UA elite or you have to buy up.

AorizonaGuy said it best. But it works the same way for all of US, UA, and CO flying other *A metal, the bare minimum of your respective *Preferred level Benefits according to the *A website. During irrops with a great agent you might a little extra perk as *Gold.

And on US, non-elites can snag bulkhead and exit row seats at the 24 hour point online when everything is generally opened up. Since some US elites will have likely been upgraded, there's a good shot some exit row seats will be up for grabs one day before departure.
