In this day in age we are able to change over smart savers online, yet we are still not able to cancel them online.

Shazzadude Nov 7, 09, 7:20 pm Yeah, you think it would be of benefit to Air New Zealand to have a provision for people to freely surrender their fares so that they can be re-sold. There must be a reason why this isn't an option though, maybe they're worried of accidental deletions of bookings and the problems that would cause. I have now cancelled the booking for you. You were able to cancel this online. At www.airnz.co.nz, on the left hand-side near the bottom, is manage bookings and you can cancel it from there." I sent this screengrab to airnz, they have backed down on the advice GAS/SS fares can be cancelled online: Dear Jeffrocowboy, Thank you for your reply. My colleague erroneously advised you that Smart Savers or Grab A Seat fares can be cancelled online. At this particular stage, only domestic Flexi Plus fares are eligible for online cancellations, subject to the booking still being "live" in our system and if the passenger has not yet commenced their journey.
