Let's say I see a couple of extra promo codes I can sign up for. And I enter them after checking in, with a couple of days to go before checkout. Will they apply?

Since posting is activated upon check-out, adding new promo codes should work, even with advance payment stays.

It used to be the case that codes entered any time before posting would apply. There are consistent recent reports that this nolonger works, but you should be OK entering after checkin but before checkout.

The answer should be: try and see what you get. Why would you not register? (only perhaps for the Stay X get Y and you need to plan stays carefully).

It even works for (some) stays where you enter the code after check-out, but before the stay posts. I had one such case last week.

Codes should work prior to check-out, not sure about prior to posting.
You may be able to call CS to have a bonus applied within a reasonable amout of time.
