Mileage Run Discussion - Help, Please. Need BIG Run DL or SkyTeam

Travel restrictions cut down on my travel for the year, but next year's budget is a different story. Need to renew to at least GM on SkyTeam because I do so many SDC and do check my baggage.

Looking for mileage run Dec 3 - Dec 8, or after Dec 15. Found ATL-SYD for $800, but didn't purchase it soon enough. Want to leave from ATL, but willing to travel to any US airport to start any good mileage run. Right now, will have around 30k points for year. Looking for at least 50k, but would really like to get to 75k. Prefer DL, but any SkyTeam airline would work.

Any guidance is appreciated. Thanks.

Also, does anyone remember if DL let you use points to purchase up to the next level last year? I have hundreds of thousands of points, and could do that if necessary.

Found: ATL-AMS-JNB on DL/KL 5-7 Dec for $1197.50 a/i (19968 miles @ 6.0 cpm). Not a great bargain, but it might get you to 50k. Use ITA to find more cities.
