Mileage Run Discussion - Gold Challenge on AA - Newbie question

Hello!
My husband only needs 450 EQM, however, we live in Japan. Isn't there any short flight from Japan that we can take to earn these?
For the challenge they say it has to say AA in the ticket.

Your best bet is to try to book a flight to somewhere using the AA website so you can get an AA codeshare.

I'm going to ping a mod to ask them to move this to the AA Challenege sticky. Someone may be able to help you there.
