Hello everyone:

I did the usual search, but found things to be confusing. Here's the deal. I need to fly from IND (or ORD) to CDG June 25 and then return from VIE back to IND/ORD July 31. I'd like to fly Business, on Star Alliance (obviously). I'd like to use miles... however, I'm not sure if this is possible with the routing I want to do. Isn't it called openjaw travel? How would I go about booking such a trip? As always, thanks in advance.

Regards.

You are in the wrong forum. The rules in regards to awards and open jaw for awards are governed by the individual FFP, not *A. By the way, why not fly ORD-CDG-VIE-ORD (if those routes exist).

Thanks for the tip.

Mods, could you be so kind and move this to the Continental forum please? Thanks!

You can do this using Star, but probably have to call up. (at least that is the procedure for UA and Mileage Plus). It cannot be done on the UA web site, but it is legal. I use award open jaw with C class all of the time.)

I will second this - just booked open jaw (MEL-BKK-CDG(TG)||BSL-MUC-SIN(LH)||MEL(SQ)) through LH call centre.
