I am considering a MR to top off 1K this year. It's a single roundtrip flight that turns at SBA (xxx-LAX-SBA-LAX-xxx). I've not been to SBA, but I am aware that some small airports dump you on the outside of security. Is this the case in Santa Barbara? If so, is arriving at 11:16 a.m. (UA6355) and departing at 11:40 (UA6373) on the same plane enought time to clear security and board again? Is the airport busy or will I be able to walk right back up to security.
Is there a say to unload back to the gate area?

SBA is a small airport-only 10 gates I believe- and I think you would have enough time unless there's some kind of a charter leaving from there. I got there a few weeks ago at their busiest time (early morning) and there were 2 people in front of me in line. Unless they enforce the 30 minute check in rule, you'll be fine.
