Cathay Pacific Asia Miles - HKG-KHI-HKG in J - Ticketing Conundrum

I need to issue a Business class ticket HKG-KHI-HKG (service via BKK). The fare is approx HK$20000 including tax, which is pretty crazy for the rubbish regional seats on a long flight. This is the cheapest fare.

Instead of paying the crazy fare, I want to do something like this:

CX701 HKG BKK 1600 1750
CX708 BKK HKG 1050 1430
HK$5790+427 tax

CX703 BKK KHI 2000 2325
CX2700 KHI BKK 0025 0705
THB27400+4120 tax

Total is about HK$12900 including tax for all business class.

Even better would be if I can ticket HKG-BKK-HKG on CX703 & CX2700 (same flight and then can continue without disembarkation).

Does anyone have experience doing this in KHI and will they be able to check me in and give both BP in KHI? Or if I continue on same flight, can I check bags all the way thru?

I am not so worried about HKG because I am sure that CX is smart enough to figure out a solution when I turn up to check in. I'm more worried about the return from KHI.

Solutions, experiences anyone? Ideas welcome. Thanks in advance!

Have you tried ticketing ex-TPE?

I know ex-TPE is cheaper, but this is not an option as the extra HKG-TPE-HKG leg is not feasible. This ticket is not for me but a senior citizen and I can't send them off to fly waste sectors.

Frankly, cost is not the problem, I have already found a workable solution price wise, I just want to know if that will work in practice or not.

I am not sure but CX2700 may be an issue as it is a temporary flight (if you can book it via CX.com then no problem)

I am not sure if certain fares have residency requirements. You may want to confirm that one way or another.

CX2700 is not a temporary flight. I've been on this flight many times before... :)

Any fare that is ticketable on CX.com without selecting any special options is unlikely to have any residency requirements.

Is the senior citizen a resident of HKG or MFM? If yes, opt for the "Visit your overseas friends with 20% off for all our senior citizens" promotion (J and Y).

Yes, that's still much more expensive than doing it the way I suggest.

Basically I just want to know if what I suggest will work or not. I've already considered all of the different fare options and this is the best way.
