Does QR have its own C lounge at BKK or do they use that or another airline?
If the latter, which lounge ?
I am flying BKK-DOH-CDG in C soon and looking forward to feedback on any experiences from you guys on this route
Thanks

I seem to recall reading somewhere that they use the TG lounge. With only a couple of flights a day it wouldn't make any sense for them to have their own lounge there.

I've done the DOH-BKK-DOH route 3 times and I can confirm that they use Thai's lounges. OK if you go to the main lounge but last time we were 'invited' to a satellite lounge close to the gate which to be honest was poor especially with regards to the food available.

In terms of feedback on this part of the route the service has always been up to the usual superb standards I associate with Qatar's C class (except for my very first flight a few years back on the infamous old A340). They will feed you until you feel fit to burst and provide drink until your liver gives up.

In terms of hard product - if you get the 777 expect full lie flat with loads of space. On the last return there was a last minute substitution for an A332 ( I think) which whilst acceptable for a day flight and certainly a comfortable seat did lack the space of the 777.

Flymaybe ,

Thanks a lot for the information.
We are booked on the flight leaving BKK at 8.30 am. Do you know if they serve only breakfast or full lunch on this flight after take off ?

I used to fly the BKK-DOH route regularly. They will send you to one of the smaller Thai Airways lounges but I suggest that if you are non-arab, do as I used to do, and go to the main Thai Lounge, be friendly with the reception girls and just tell them you have special diet needs. I've never had a problem being admitted, in fact most cases they just wave you through.^

Panstead00,

To be honest I can't recall exactly. I spent the first part of the last flight in a huff over the change of plane and that the guy seated next to me had something of an odour problem. Not what you expect in C.

I am thinking some sort of brunch but I could be wrong. However, you won't go hungry either way. They also do a second smaller service before landing in Doha.

Thanks again.
One last question.Which lounge does QR use at CDG ?
As it is in Termianal 1 , I assume it is the Bleriot or Icare Salons ?
Thanks
