The EK site says "Skywards® members traveling on a Continental operated flight but with an Emirates® flight number will earn Skywards® tier miles".

Planning to travel Continental JFK-LHR-DXB, with Emirates operating the LHR-DXB leg. Assuming I use my Skywards # when making the reservation, will I receive Skywards Tier miles for the DXB leg? This is implied by the website statement, but this old thread (http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/continental-onepass/868000-emirates-accruing-elite-status-miles-bonuses-co-onepass-warning-website-hoax.html) about LGW is a bit confusing.

I'm a few hundred Tier miles from Gold and JFK-DXB direct EK pricing has jumped almost 100%, so would like to be sure before booking with Continental.

If it is an EK flight number on your ticket, then you should get tier Skywards miles.
