Australia, New Zealand & the South Pacific - London to Santo, Vanuatu, cheapest options?

Hi,

I got a dilemma, my sister wants to do her medical elective out in Vanuatu. She needs to go from London to Santo (SON) in Vanuatu. She is a student so cheapest option on a reliable airline is required. She has British passport so transits in most countries should be easy enough without visas etc.

Also her uni has shafted her by placing the elective period during the main school summer holidays. ie. she wants to fly 24th July 2010 and return to UK by 1st October 2010. Any help would be appreaciated!

The cheapest might be AirAsiaX from London to Australia and then onward with Pacific Blue.

Be aware that most flights go to VLI with SON only receiving far less flights from Air Vanuatu.
