Turkish Airlines Miles&Smiles - Any experiences JFK-IST-JFK TK First class?

Hi there just wanted to see if anybody had experienced the First Class service w TK on the JFK-IST-JFK route, TK has been flying the leased aircrafts for few weeks now to JFK.....

I will be flying JFK-IST-HKG-IST-JFK with all 4 legs confirmed in THY First departing next month. I will write a full report and post it here. Take care.

I have seen the treport on LHR, SIN, HKG and BKK services but I was just wondering how JFK outbound and inbound are handled by TK

Are all flights to from JFK/IST in the first class suites?

Also, in another thread, there is car service on F award tickets? Is there car service in the NYC area to JFK or does this apply in IST only?

I flew TK on JFK-IST and IST-ORD earlier this month, both on 77W's in F.

JFK-IST was delayed 5 hours, neither OLCI or any agents decided to inform me until I showed up to the airport. In fact, all four of my flights were delayed at least an hour.
My IST-ORD flight had only one operable suite in the whole cabin(Although the door took some work to close)! Thankfully I was the only passenger. All other seats were missing the seat control screen, they were all removed...leads me to believe a pretty big issue? Maintenance of cabins looked like it was lacking...
Service on all my flights was spotty and far from polished. Food was OK, so were amenities, however I really found communication and service leaving a lot to be desired. Language barrier probably had a lot to do with it.
Ground service was the shining star of my trip. My oh my those Turkish women are very easy on the eyes ^^


Overall, I had high expectations for TK, however I really missed my usual LH F. There is no excuse for not posting the 5 hour delay on my JFK-IST flight until after 2. Come on, the outbound hadn't taken off and no one could update it?! :confused: I found more problems than good with this trip.

I'm also interested in this. I haven't seen any information regarding car service in NYC but that would be great since I still don't have a ride to the airport :)


As for Istanbul do I just call TK and ask to schedule a car to my hotel?
