Looks like it's available just this weekend... routing SEA-AMS-JNB-ATL-SEA. Not familiar with earning potential on DL, but figured I'd let the experts figure that out!

I though SA was a *A member, so wouldn't that affect the earning potential here?

Just know there are some airlines where if one segment is not mileage earning the entire itinerary is not mileage earning. And no need for snarkyness.

Just found 11/10 to 11/16 - IAD/AMS/JNB - for $595 a/i. Books into V class on KL which now does appear to earn SkyMiles. Should be about 18K miles.

Also found $608 RT into CPT a/i.

KLM Royal Dutch Airlines:
Mileage may be earned on KLM-coded flights operated by KLM, City Hopper, or any SkyTeam partner. Mileage credit is not applicable for fares booked in D, G or W class.

PS - really like the new KLM website now that it doesn't autodirect you to nwa.com any longer.

be careful with this. while V does appear to earn Skymiles, V does not earn MQMs.

Incredible fare but are we saying definitively that one would NOT earn MQMs on this fare, only regular miles? I can see an MCO-JNB RT from $610 for this weekend but not worth it if MQMs are not gained. Looks to me like I would get MQMs for MCO-AMS but not for AMS-JNB. Correct?

That's how I see it. TATL segments on NW would be booked into V, earning 100% EQM/RDM. If V is not an earning category on KLM, then there would be no EQMs for AMS-JNB.

Also, I can't see where you can choose an advance seat on any of the flights on this itinerary. I did a dummy reservation and it only gave me an unguaranteed choice of aisle or window. Is that correct or just my ignorance about KLM?

Which dates? I tried 11/6 outbound with an 11/8 return and it said on that date it's $2607. The cheapest flight I found is out on 11/8 with a return on 11/11.

Hmm...seems to be gone now. The IAD flights that were $595 are now $1,185. And the SLC fare of $620 has vanished too. Oh well...

While I was looking around, only a few dates came up so it didn't seem to work for a quick turn like you checked. It appears as though at least a 5 night stay may have been required.

I booked one of these and it earned MQMs on both the NWA legs and the KLM

Is this fare gone for sure? No [FARE GONE] in the title yet and I just saw it for the first time today.
