Hyatt Gold Passport - Finally, Hyatt is storing our credit card #s
I had to call to make a reservation and was asked "should we use the card on file?"
Since I never put a card on file, nor is there a place to add it to my profile (the last time I checked) I asked if they were now doing it.
The rep was thrilled they are, and it appears Hyatt stored the last card used.
All I know is that it was great I didn't have to repeat my card number for the umteenth time :)
Now, if they could only get it on our profiles so we don't have to keep entering it.

I thought they'd been doing this for years? They'd always ask me if they should use the card on file. I remember being very annoyed about this several years ago, and asked to have the number erased off my profile. I don't like the idea of having my CC stored where someone could just call and pretend they're me, and use it. But after awhile, I found some occasions where it was actually kinda useful (like, sitting on the plane trying to make a res, and not wanting everyone in earshot to hear me read my CC number). Just wish there was a bit tighter security...and that Hyatt would ask, first, before storing it.
Yes, they store the last number used...so if you need to switch 'tween a corporate card, or as in the last FFN use a specific card, be sure you know which card it is that's on file. :p

I believe they should ask before storing it, but I was told they will remove it upon request.

I seem to recall always being asked, and the rep did say it was new and was thrilled it was in place.
But, I rarely make reservations over the phone, so it could have been there before and I never knew about it.

It is new - wish it would show up on the website - always told they are 2 different systems, which still doesn't make sense.......but maybe now Hilton will not ask for AAA card numbers on their website
It seems that if you make reservation on the Hyatt website than you have to enter card new each time ?????

yes - not user friendly on their site
Gold Passport explained that this is a problem and they are working on it.
