From the Skywards changes FAQ:

Q: Will less reward seats be available as part of these changes to the Skywards programme?

True Answer: Heck yeah - this is just the next step in our ongoing effort to eviscerate your spending power, after we've lured you in with "bonuses" in the past. Your miles are now all-but-worthless. Best of luck trying to book an award on any route that is even remotely attractive. What - you say you want premium awards??? Buah-hahahaha! PS: we'll try to find someone who can actually speak english to write the next version of the FAQ, and will correct "less reward seats" to "fewer reward seats".

EK-speak Answer: No. The programme changes will not reduce the number of reward seats made available to our members. Flight rewards on Emirates continue to be extremely popular with our members and as a result Skywards Saver Reward seats may not always be available on high-demand routes, or during certain periods of the year. However, if you are flexible with your travel plans or take advantage of our Skywards Flex Rewards, we are confident that you can enjoy all the benefits and rewards of your Skywards membership.

Q. How will I know what I earn Zone to Zone

True Answer: As soon as we figure out what we were thinking- someone said zones and we all said yes- but we might have made a mistake and we need to figure this out. Lets say end of October 2009 but really that date just appeases the big bosses who gave us a deadline- realistically when John comes back form holidays in December, as it was his idea.

True Answer: Yep ask away and we will put on the ones we like tha tmake us look like we know what is going on-- every time we get one like this we will post it on skywards.com and it will flash in brights lights so you dont miss it. So visit regularly- which to us is every six to eight weeks please.
