Mileage Run Discussion - UA: Need 14kmi for Premiere Executive - Tips?

I'm trying to get into 2p before booking some travel for December/January/February.

I haven't done an official MR just yet, but am looking to try my first. I've been looking at UA E-Fares where I can go LGA-DEN-SNA RT for about $250 from Saturday to Monday. I can do two nights on hilton points and bring along the wife for a day in California which would be fun. I figure this would get be about 10k miles with DEQM. Is this a good option or is there something better I could do?

I don't need to do a same day round trip as it would be nice to get a mini vacation out of the trip if possible - 24h in a nice location would be fun.

Thoughts?

2p or 1P? Premier Exec is 1P, Premier is 2P. For 14k miles, you may be able to stretch out your LGA-DEN-SNA to LGA-IAD-DEN-SFO-SNA or similar not sure it will get you 14k. Also look at TATL fares NYC-LON - base fare is $130 each way and there are ways to route in the "special savings lounge" to bring the cost down. Good luck!

Thanks very much. I need to read some more threads to figure out how to do the booking that way. I've found some threads I need to review when I get a moment from these 16h workdays (traveling now).

I got it backwards. Looking to get 1p.

Will search on TATL and "special savings lounge" as I haven't yet seen (or at least registered) those terms.
