Travel Technology - Which CDMA carrier has the best Blackberry Pearl Firmware?

Does anyone have any thoughts on which Blackberry Pearl 8130 firmware is the most feature rich?

I have been given some Blackberry Pearl 8130 prototypes I am going to give to kids for texting but the factory firmware is to barren as to be almost useless.

These phones can't be activated as Blackberries because their PIN's identify them as prototypes, but I was able to get a nameless carrier to inventory their ESN's as though they were RAZR's so they can be used without a smartphone plan.

I have only used the Pearl on Verizon so I have nothing to compare against and loading the VSM, PRL and firmware to the phone takes about an hour so it would make for very tedious trial and error.

Any thoughts?

And before anyone says this can't be done, I have all the tools to do it and have done it before.

Wirelessly posted (Blackberry8700c: BlackBerry9630/4.7.1.57 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/105)

You shouldn't expect much difference in any Pearl firmware. The 5.0 firmware doesn't run on the Pearl and the CDMA carriers don't do much to specifically customize their OS versions. Check crackberry for the latest Pearl firmware and run it with any carrier.
