Hi all. Flying MAN-MCO on Friday, economy out and upper back a few days later. Wanted to go premium on the way out but was a huge price difference so have decided to slum it in economy for the day flight.

Was wondering if Virgin offer any sort of discounted upgrades to Premium at the airport? Don't fly them often and search has been unhelpful, so apologies if this is a regular question :)

Same question was asked on V-Flyer a few days ago. (http://www.v-flyer.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=31112)

£199? Bit of a bargain. Going to be hard pushed not to take that if there's availability.

... although availability is v low, only one PE seat available and would rather my Y than a Y+ middle.

Suppose still worth arriving 10 minutes earlier than usual and checking though :)

I presume you're on the VS75 - it looks very full and that one seat may easily disappear. The VS73 however has lots of empty seats.

Yeah, unfortunately :(

Have a connection too which gets me into my final destination just about on time, so not even an option to switch to VS73 even if my fare allowed it.

BTW, as I still plan to try and see if the upgrade is offered tomorrow, am I still ok to check in online? Or will this ruin things further?

You are okay to check in online. If anything, you will be able to get the Y seat you want in case that W seat is gone.

The 199 pound special is quite a deal, and it's helped us here in MCO a lot. It's rare that we leave without an empty Premium cabin. Especially on the MAN routes.

I hope you have some great flights, regardless of the cabin you fly in. If you don't mind me asking, when exactly will you be returning?
