The PDF is gone? I liked saving a copy of that. :td:
And preferred bonus doesn't apply on CO metal. Wasn't expecting it but was secretly hopeful since it applies to UA metal.

Hmmm. CO is posting elite mileage bonuses when CO elites fly on US. Seems a little unbalanced.
From last Dividend Miles e-Statement
Continental joins Star Alliance!
Beginning October 27, 2009, Continental will join the US Airways Dividend Miles airline partnership network, as well as Star Alliance®. This means you'll be able to earn and redeem miles on all Continental flights, plus the flight miles you earn will qualify for Preferred status.

Ok, my mistake. They simply haven't updated that little detail on the pages for the separate preferred levels - it still only says US, USX and UA. (And of course the overall "All About Preferred" page only mentions US and USX.)

Earning EQMs on CO and earning elite bonus redeemable miles is not the same thing.
That doesn't answer whether CO will be treated like UA or like other *A members where you just get EQMs and 100% of mileage earned.

Quite right, I misread again.
A Dividend Miles CP flying UA will get 100% EQM's plus the 100% preferred RDM bonus. No idea if that applied to CO metal and if it doesn't, that ought to keep some CP's away from CO unless it's the only or absolutely necessary option. I'm only GP and if it's international, I'm not willing to give up 50% RDM's without a few hundred dollars difference.

So can anyone confirm? Only US and UA metal will get you the preferred bonus and not CO (25% TO 100%, depending on US status)? I'm operating under this belief but would like to know before I book a UA trip over CO.
...Only US and UA metal will get you the preferred bonus and not CO ...
Website (http://www2.usairways.com/en-US/dividendmiles/earnmiles/staralliance_continental.html) says for CO flights Preferred members earn 500 mile segment minimums and Preferred bonus miles (emphasis mine)
It appears that CO metal does join US/UA metal in earning Preferred bonus miles, and the IT guys simply haven't gotten around to updating the rest of the website yet.

Thank you for the clarification! ^

This is hardly surprising to anyone here, right? :)
