What constraints do you have as far as dates, days of travel, length of stay? Are you looking for the cheapest overall option or just the cheapest price on AS? Are you willing to split up the group if it reduces the overall price? beckoa Nov 4, 09, 4:15 pm I don't know if you'll get a lot of help with such an open-ended question like this. Flyertalk is not designed to be a travel agent to lower fares, but we like to be helpful when we can in the AS Forum, but to do this, please provide more information... thanks~ 98103 Nov 5, 09, 5:10 am Sign up for the Alaska Insider weekly newsletter. There are always discount codes between city pairs included, as well as web specials. I have seen MIA pop up every now and then. eponymous_coward Nov 5, 09, 9:44 am Don't fly AS into MIA, but use a partner where you get AS EQM instead. I see a number of cheaper one-stops to the Greater Miami area (through FLL and PBI) via Orbitz that are less than half what you'd pay for the AS nonstop that I tried to dummy book. (I'm also seeing AS SEA-ORD flights as AA codeshares. When did THAT start happening? Next we'll be seeing codeshares on SEA-DFW/MIA...) Yes, I know, no neat MVPG bennies. Such is life, though- it's cruise season and the costs of flying to MIA are going to be through the roof on the ONLY nonstop service there. OP didn't indicate AS status in their profile, just UA (and possibly CO? What is PC Plat?). As a UA 1K they might be better off on CO SEA-IAH-FLL. CO usually publishes low fares to/from So. Florida. eponymous_coward Nov 5, 09, 4:24 pm The CO flights I saw were not much less expensive than the AS ones. |
