Miles & More (Lufthansa, Austrian, Swiss, and other partners) - choices for F award lax-fra

I am planning a F class award from LAX to FRA

I have 2 options: the direct flight on LH or using LX via ZRH

both routes have availability for the day i need

LH uses a 747 on this route and LX uses the 343

I have flown LX first on the 343 and loved it

which route would you choose for this trip?

I am taking LH on the return fra-lax

Go with LX on your outbound. Good experience and most posters like the seat/bed over the LH seat. I find them both okay. Service is great in LX First. Just one toilet for all 8 pax and flight crew is a downside, in particular when many FAs from all cabins use it as well.

If you fly alone try to catch one of the single seats.

Connecting in ZRH is pretty easy and there are flights to FRA almost every hour.

since you are traveling alone and going w LH on the way back I would go with LX, no brainer..enjoy it ...

If i do go with LX how is the transfer process in ZRH? i would be connecting to an LH flight to FRA.
is there a car service in zrh?
I assume i can still use the LX F lounge in ZRH even though my next flight would be in C

You can use the F-lounge when arriving in LX F. There will be no car service. You will be arriving in E and will have to take the Heidi-train to the main building (and lounge).
