Mileage Run Discussion - Looking for 10k EQM on AA out of NYC

Thanks in advance for any suggestions - this is probably an easy one for the veteran mileage runners out there! With the benefit of the DBEQM bonus I am actually within striking range of EXP.

Any MR would have to be on a weekend, most likely, and need to be done by Dec. 15. Is this doable? Is it worth it?

Do you need 10k before or after DEQM?

If after, I'd just do a transcon non-stop. The prices are pretty good to LAX (if you only need "about 10k" 0 JFK-LAX-JFK = 4950 miles --> 9900 EQM) and SFO (JFK-SFO-JFK = 5172 miles --> 10344 EQM) and the lack of connections would reduce hassle to pretty much zero.

Either destination is available on 12/5 or 12/12 for $239.20ai. Maybe not the absolute best cpm you could get, but it would probably be my choice.

JFK to SFO an easy MR. And if you are a bit short you can probably route through LAX or maybe even DFW.

PABitz - thanks, it looks like I need it by 12/15, to get 20k EQM in total. I'm wondering if it might be too much to try to do...

clacko/NY George, yes, I am definitely looking into the back-to-back JFK to LAX/SFO - question is just how many I can stand. I already have air travel that isn't going into this 10K calculation on the weekend before and the weekend after Thanksgiving.
