There has been little mention of the Best Care Club in recent months.

Long-term, will it stay open?
Could a lounge be opened in DEN or MCI (there were plans in the past for one but that was when Midwest had much bigger operations at the airport).

Any thoughts?

Hard to say. I think several factors come into play:

(1) Current and ongoing economic return on the BCC.
Usage of the BCC often seems fairly light, but most users buy an annual membership so the actual number of people seen at any given time may or may not be indicative of how many paid members they have.

(2) Recipricol agreements with DL/NW might keep them in the BCC business, at least in Milwaukee.

(3) Real estate issues are significant. If the Milwaukee BCC is part of a larger lease that they're paying for no matter what, then as long as the membership fees cover the cost to staff and maintain it might make it worthwhile (as opposed to simply vacating it but still paying to lease it.) On the other side of the coin, even if they want clubs in DEN and MCI, the availability of space, and cost-effective space, might prohibit it.

So I don't think it's a clear proposition at this point one way or the other. I didn't think that the premium seating concept would be kept, and its actually spreading to Frontier. So maybe BCC isn't necessarily dead in the water.
