JAL Mileage Bank - transfer from domestic JL to international AA at NRT

I will be flying from ITM to NRT on JL, then transferring to AA NRT -ORD. Will I have to change terminals or go through security?
I am flying F on AA - which lounge will I have access to at NRT and which one do you recommend?

You won't have to change terminals but will have to go thru security at NRT. Usually doesn't take more than 5 minutes. ^

I didn't include any lounge advice because I've never flown F.:p Other board members have commented favorably on the JAL F lounge, I'm assuming the Admirals Club has an F section as well.

I don't believe AA has a F section, just the large Admirals Club. I've recently spent quite a few hours on layovers at NRT and here's my take on OW lounges (in order of preference):

1. JL First - a) 4th floor (elevator to left of counter); b) 3rd floor
2. JL Business (main term) - Good food/beverage upstairs. Great staff at both.
3. AA AC - large, poor food selection.
4. JL - (term with gates 80/90s) small, gets crowded.
5. CX - small (in comparison) average to poor food/beverage.

Paulchili - Your access depends on your status and ticketing class. OW ruby has no entry benefits. Your F on AA gets you in the AC. Your Japan domestic depends on class of service. Need more information if they are 2 tickets or 1 F.

The rules do not specifically state that F passengers are entitled to F lounge only of the airline they are flying - it only states they are entitled to F lounge based on class of travel.
It's worth a try.

Customers flying First or Business Class have access to the equivalent class of lounge regardless of their frequent flyer status. (First Class passengers may be accompanied by one guest travelling on a flight operated and marketed by a oneworld airline).
Note - it does not specify which airline lounge, only first class lounge.

I had always thought that if you are only traveling F - you can only go to the F Lounge (of the carrier or organised by the carrier) - oneword has nothing to do with it.

You only get the oneworld benefits as a FF card carrying member of sufficient status.

Here's my point - If you are flying domestic Y on JL on ticket #1 and international F on AA on ticket #2 and have no OW entry status, the only lounge you have access to is the carrier providing the F service. Now, if the JL and AA is issued on one ticket number you might get access to the JL First Lounge.

From the OneWorld website:

If you do not have oneworld Emerald or Sapphire tier status you are only eligible to access a lounge if you are travelling in First or Business Class, or if you are travelling in Economy on a domestic or intra-European flight to connect to or from a longhaul segment in a oneworld carrier's First or Business Class.

You must show your ticket or boarding pass and/or your current frequent flyer membership card to gain entry to any lounge.

AMEX Plat card holders can also get AC access. I don't know if it works international, I've only done it in US.
