Mirko Nov 8, 09, 7:16 am I can confirm you that, once again, US requested slot for FCO-CLT for next summer. This time both routes (FCO-CLT and FCO-PHL) should be operated, if confirmed by US, with A-332. In the past summer US had plans for PHL 333 + CLT 762 services to Rome. On a side note, also UA requested slots for new FCO-ORD daily with 763 in addition to FCO-IAD with 777 for S10 Mirko Nov 11, 09, 3:38 pm Here we go Airport, IATA season, flight code, A (arrival)/D (departure), slot allocated (GMT), slot requested (GMT), period, days of operation, equipment, available seats, origin, destination 1 S10 FCO US718 A 06:45 06:45 28MAR 30OCT 332 258 PHL 1234567 2 S10 FCO US719 D 09:50 09:50 28MAR 30OCT 332 258 PHL 1234567 3 S10 FCO US720 A 08:50 07:30 28MAR 30OCT 332 258 CLT 1234567 4 S10 FCO US721 D 10:30 08:55 28MAR 30OCT 332 258 CLT 1234567 dingo Nov 11, 09, 5:38 pm Here we go Airport, IATA season, flight code, A (arrival)/D (departure), slot allocated (GMT), slot requested (GMT), period, days of operation, equipment, available seats, origin, destination 1 S10 FCO US718 A 06:45 06:45 28MAR 30OCT 332 258 PHL 1234567 2 S10 FCO US719 D 09:50 09:50 28MAR 30OCT 332 258 PHL 1234567 3 S10 FCO US720 A 08:50 07:30 28MAR 30OCT 332 258 CLT 1234567 4 S10 FCO US721 D 10:30 08:55 28MAR 30OCT 332 258 CLT 1234567 Does this mean they got it?! Or is this what they applied for? tacommuter Nov 11, 09, 5:42 pm Here we go Airport, IATA season, flight code, A (arrival)/D (departure), slot allocated (GMT), slot requested (GMT), period, days of operation, equipment, available seats, origin, destination 1 S10 FCO US718 A 06:45 06:45 28MAR 30OCT 332 258 PHL 1234567 2 S10 FCO US719 D 09:50 09:50 28MAR 30OCT 332 258 PHL 1234567 3 S10 FCO US720 A 08:50 07:30 28MAR 30OCT 332 258 CLT 1234567 4 S10 FCO US721 D 10:30 08:55 28MAR 30OCT 332 258 CLT 1234567 I am always impressed by the access that some folks on the board have... Does that access give you any insight as to whether the rumored seasonal CLT-MAD route is real or not? Or is your source limited to FCO specifically? Mirko Nov 11, 09, 5:53 pm Does this mean they got it?! Or is this what they applied for? It means that US applied for CLT-FCO again, and again they don't get the slot exactly at the time they would like to have. No problem for PHL, since historical slot confirmed year by year. dingo Nov 11, 09, 5:54 pm So CLT - FCO is not approved, just applied for? Or they got CLT - FCO? Mirko Nov 11, 09, 5:55 pm I am always impressed by the access that some folks on the board have... Does that access give you any insight as to whether the rumored seasonal CLT-MAD route is real or not? Or is your source limited to FCO specifically? I try to ask in the next days, there should be no problem to know if US applied for CLT-MAD or not. Mirko Nov 11, 09, 6:06 pm So CLT - FCO is not approved, just applied for? Or they got CLT - FCO? US applied for this route, eurocontrol gave them a different time for landing/take-off at FCO. So here it's not an approval problem since UE-USA are in open-sky deal. If they want to serve the route they can do it but at the time allocated. Usually carriers tend to ask for slots on the same route several times if they are not able to get at once the slot desired. dingo Nov 11, 09, 6:10 pm Mirko, Thanks for the information and the patience. I'm not sure I still understand, but it sounds like they asked for a route, got one different than what they asked for, and now have to decide if they want they one that they were awarded for the CLT-FCO service. That correct? And they might not take it b/c the flight times are just crappy...? Seems like this route would be a good one for them at just about any time of the day IMO. It's a leisure destination and CLT is a great gateway for US...IMO only. Mirko Nov 11, 09, 6:20 pm Mirko, Thanks for the information and the patience. It's a leisure destination and CLT is a great gateway for US...IMO only. Well, probably there are many reasons. Unfortunately I don't see US in "expanding mode" this year. They are going to drop 5 cities in Europe in 2010. But I think adding another CLT-Europe service (to a large market like Rome) would be better than keep flying to a little one from PHL (such as Birmingham or Shannon). Cltflyer1 Nov 11, 09, 9:18 pm this years schedule while not what us wanted appears to be much better than last years! maybe they will accept this slot. also where does us keep getting this many 332s for i didn't think theyd have enough for 1x bcn, tlv, muc, lhr, cdg, and fco from phl and 1x cdg, and fco for charlotte by next summer. thats 9 planes. |
