Hi All
Was planning to write my first trip report for Premium Economy but I got upgraded at check in so here is my report for the Business Class seat! I am doing a round robin of NRT-HKG and SIN so please stop back and read my other reports when I get a minute to write them!
Anyway here goes - I was put in seat 7K - to be honest there was no fuss about the upgrade and I did not realise I had been upgraded until I walked away and looked at my boarding pass to realise 7K was a bit closer to the front than I had pre-selected. As BA Gold I checked in at the First Class counter which was very smooth.
Went through the fast track security at LAX and was sat in the Oneworld first class lounge sipping champagne before I knew it - and of course far too early!

Soon time to board though - very quick and easy through the First Class queue and I was soon settled in my home for the next 10 odd hours!

We pushed back on time and were soaring into the air with the greatest of ease very quickly. This was one of the new 777-300 class which started on the LAX route last week so it was very new and shiny! The seat was comfortable and of course loads of leg room

We were given a choice of champagne or orange juice just after take off - I went for the champagne which was delightful of course. We were also offered the menu shortly after take off - see below. I went for the Western option but I was slightly jealous of my seat neighbor who went for the Japanese option and it was presented beautifully.

The salad was the freshest I have ever tasted on an aircraft - so was the fruit that came with the landing snack. The Western main was nice - steak was just a bit too red for me:eek:
Oudding was lovely - and I dont normally eat puddings!
I settled down to watch a couple of movies - the new Harry Potter and Ice Age Dinasour thingy. Put the bed down for a few hours sleep - not as comfy as the BA Club World bed as I dont think it went down to flat but as I had paid for PE I was not complaining!!!:)
Anyway we were soon getting ready to land - a nice comfortable journey.
Through immigration pretty quickly and out into Narita night.
I thought JAL were superb from start to finish - and not just because I got upgraded! I would definitely fly them again and I see why JALpak is such a fan!
This is my first ever trip report but thought I owed one as I had read so many others! So proud that my photos worked!!!
I am writing this sat in the JAL First Class lounge ready for my HKG flight on Cathay - that will be up next. If I think of anything else I will add it in!
