Trying to book a MR of sorts, can anyone confirm whether BD121, BD122 and BD127 share the same aircraft? It's tight with 45 mins at DUB and 55 mins at LHR. Thanks!

Normally, BD121 and 2 will be the same, as the aircraft returns to LHR (occasionally a second aircraft overnights in Dublin and it can sometimes be this for whatever reason).

Absolutely no way of predicting whether BD127 will be the same, as at the home base, stuff can be swapped last minute. Generally the DUB absed crew will remain on route, but they do occasionally find themselves doing a run elsewhere - AMS, BRU and so on.

As far as MRs go, both DUB and LHR have sterile security divisions, so you'll need to absolutely peggit out, clear security and peggit back again. You can't just exit and enter.

In Dublin you can however get first in line with security if you already have you boarding pass.

Just follow the black "flight connections" signs through the baggage hall to the end of the hall. A small corridor brings you up to security where you usualy will be 1st in line. Do not leave the bag area via customs, it's at the end of the hall on the right side (looking from where you enter the hall).

In London however you are out of luck, it's the down the irish mile run and than re-queue to get your picture taken/pass security/confirm picture and back to the irish mile. In the past you just could exit the plane and wait at the irish mile, but with the new arrangement no longer.

Note that this does mean going through immigration, but it's usually pretty quick. The security line goes pretty quick from the transfer entrance -- the whole snaked mess of a queue is all behind you.

Well if they didn't do that you wouldn't have to go past the shops. Can't have that!

Yep, shame about the segregation in the Green Mile. Would have been easy otherwise. So looks like the 121 to 122 switch should be easy, but I'm really risking it with the 127. A bit late coming, and I guess they can just call up another plane. risky. Do you reckon they'd stick on on the next LHR-DUB if I did miss the 127?
