Hilton HHonors - Magazines in Lounge?

I was staying at the Hilton Singapore on the weekend and was astonished to find two magazines I had thrown out in my room appear in the lounge?

Anyone come across this before?

That's disgusting. I would complain to the manager.

Personally, I would've been glad to see that someone can use them. But that's just me.

Don't you believe in re-cycling?Honestly no. Trees are a renewable resource, and provide a lot of folks with jobs. Recycling is way overrated to begin with. It is mostly an exercise in feeling not guilty not doing more to stop so called global warming. A psych major could do one hell of a thesis paper on it.;)

Yes, personally, I never throw out magazines, I think it is wasteful. I always try to leave them where others can read them. Typical places include the magazine rack at my gym, at the place where I get my haircut, or the Dr.'s office.

In the case of the OPs situation, I probably would have left them in the lounge myself rather than toss them.

I am with the OP in that I do not think the maid should have rescued them. If I did put one it the trash, there would be a good reason, like I dropped it in the toilet or sneezed in it repeatedly while I had the swine flu.

When I'm done, I always leave magazines where others can use them.

A current copy of Playboy in the lounge is always appreciated. ;)

Housekeeping probably thought you "borrowed" the magazines from the lounge and didnt bother to return ....
