InterContinental Hotels: Priority Club & Inter-Continental Ambassador - What is the latest time to switch earning option

I am currently selecting miles as earning for US airway promotion and will check out Wednesday. but this Friday, I want to earn points for the stay.

When should I change earning preference to make sure I earn miles on Wednesday stay and points for Friday stay?

I believe the trigger is the setting when the points post to your account not checkout time, there is also no guarantee the stays will post consecutively. Does it particularilly matter which stay credits as miles? One option may be to remove the PC number from the second reservation and do a points request after the fact.

well, you can wait until the Wednesday stay posts and then switch, that should do it.
There is a small chance that they post in reverse though, if there has been some problem with the first one
