Last August, I made a purchase through the Dividend Miles Shopping mall to prevent my miles from expiring in October. When I received my online receipt for the purchase from the third party, I noticed that there was nothing to confirm the route-through had been made through the Shopping Mall.
I immediately called a Dividend Miles representative and was told that the receipts do not indicate the route-through. When I asked how I would prove that I made the purchase through the Shopping Mall, I was told not to worry, that this was the normal procedure, and that the miles and activity would simply show up on my account six to eight weeks later.
As I feared, no credit for the purchase appeared, and USAirways sent me a notice claiming that my miles had expired. I forwarded all documentation, including my emails immediately after the purchasing advising the airlines of the purchase and my concern about no indication on the receipt. Dividend Miles has run me through a thousand hoops and is now ignoring my complaint.
Has anyone else dealt with this problem?
