Has anyone ever stayed at this property? We're going to Dallas the following weekend and debating this property, HR DFW & GH DFW for the stay. GH DFW is probably the best but also the priciest (along with no Gx).

I've stayed twice in the past month, on weekends, and as a Gold/Plat member so I can't comment on Diamond treatment or Club access.

My most recent stay was a studio room on the OPENBP rate; at checkin, the agent claimed no knowledge of this rate/benefits. Luckily, I had a print-out describing the benefits. For the included breakfast, I was given the same pre-printed voucher given to the large group of girls' soccer players staying that weekend.

Similar to LRD:

- No particular recognition of Diamond status
- breakfast vouchers upon checkin
- Decent hotel, clean, convenient to Richardson

Its been awhile since that MR but I remember North Dallas being smaller rooms and a bit dated. The interiors at the DFW Hyatt Regency are newer but trendier and either you will like them or will run out the door screaming. (Think IKEA store takes a time machine back to the Art Deco era). The online room pictures do them both justice.

The North Dallas property is out there to the NE. Nothing to run to or run away from. Better question might be what are you planning to do in town and its convenience to either property, and maybe how you are getting around (and with FFN's on why aren't you hitting both hotels anyway).

Thanks all for your comments.

We're going to DFW on a combination MR & a reception that Regent is holding at one of their top agent's place which is near the HP Plano. We're renting a car.

I'm leaning towards one of the FS Hyatts since I really try to avoid actually staying at a HP. Not really planning on hopping between 2 properties since I'm probably going to use one of the confirmed suite upgrades, have requalified for the year, and no concrete plans for FFN redemptions prior to year end.

Based on comments, I guess I'm leaning towards the GH DFW (especially since the rates have come down a bit).

Summerfield Suites Dallas-Las Colinas is one of the fully renovated SS locations, normally relatively cheap and close to DFW.

Of course, I assume you need two different hotels for this weekend stay ;)
