I need 1 tier point by the 30th November to maintain my silver club status and if I don't get it my status will revert to red. I am based in the UK. Does anyone have any ideas on how I can get at least 1 tier point before my silver status expires.

The only way to get tier points this side of the Atlantic is to fly. See the VS website. (http://www.virgin-atlantic.com/en/gb/frequentflyer/membershipbenefits/tier_points/index.jsp#partnertiers)

The easiest / cheapest is probably a short Business class flight with BMI.

I wonder though, if it is worth making a special flight just to keep silver?
Which of the very few benefits of the status mean so much to you?

If it was a few TPs to retain gold, I would say - Go for it!, but I find it difficult to be so enthusiastic about Silver. ;)

If tier points are that important to you, I would suggest make your return journey after 30 Nov, so you score tier points before and after the current silver membership year.

You may be lucky and get renewed even though you haven't reached the threshold. My wife and I were renewed in September on silver even though we only had 8 points each.
