Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan - Alaska MVP mileage on Qantas code share?

I am flying from SEA-LAX-MEL and the SEA-LAX segment is Alaska Air flight with a Qantas code share. The flight number is QF3754. Does anyone know if I will get MVP qualifying miles for this segment? I called Alaksa Air MVP desk and they said I would get it no matter what the flight number is as long as it is operated by Alaska Air. I am going to be around 2000 miles short of Gold and this would help me achieve MVP Gold for 2010.
