US Airways Dividend Miles - Race to Preferred Question

Good Morning!

I have a quick question as this is my first year really traveling for work and it relates to the Race to Preferred Program.

I flew 35,604 (preferred miles) on USA from 1/1 to 9/30 and reached Silver.

From October 1 to November 1 I have flown a total of 16,659 (preferred miles) on USA.

As I was a silver preferred at the beginning of the promo, my understanding is that by flying over 15k I will be moved up two categories as a preferred member and now will reach Platinum. I bet I got this wrong because it seems too good to be true even though it is USA.

Any help would be appreciated.

I would guess on moving to GM, but not positive. Might be worth a call to CS to see if they can answer the question.

The promotion does not mean much for a lot of people. I do not have to fly as much on my current project, so my miles were down this year. I've flown about 46,000 this year and will drop down to Silver next year, while someone who has flown 15,000 miles in a 3 month period will be Gold.
