Hi,

propably a dumb question, but anyway:

I will be travelling with US Airways from Germany to Florida via Charlotte under the Visa Waiver Program and will make a sidetrip by private plane to the Bahamas.

I contacted the embassy in Berlin and got confirmed that such a side trip is possible without obtaining a visa for reentry into the US. However, they made clear that I need the stamped I-94 form in my passport.

My question: After the implementation of ESTA, do you still get this form on the plane?

Yours,

Matthias

yes

If your trip to the Bahamas is less than one month and still in the 90 days of the VWP you are OK.
BUT you are NOT able to return to the US on a private plane without a visa.
You must pre-clear US... on commercial with VWP
