Marriott Rewards - Can EEO certificate be used oversea?

Does anybody know if I can used the EEO certificate oversea? I am thinking about booking 2 nights in Hong Kong with the EEO. Did anybody use it before?

Try logging in to your Marriott Rewards account and reading the T's and C's. But why do that when I can do your work for you?

Slightly OT question: T&C state that "Friday, Saturday & Sunday nights" are designated as "weekend nights". Am i correct that I am not able to stretch my free night into the weekend (=checking in on Thursday) or into the week by checking in on Sunday ?

The last lot of EEO were the fiest ones that could be used outside of the US. ^

However, I notice that for this set the London County Hall has been removed from the participating properties. Particularly disappointing :td:

I could make good use of that one, and they usually have weekend rates for 90 Euros or less in the wintertime. Very good deal. BTW, has anyone ever been able to use one of these EEOs on a Thu/Fri night stay (outside of the Middle East)? I tried once, but was told no by the CSA.
