US Airways Dividend Miles - Annual fee for US Airways Premier World Mastercard

My annual fee for this card (transferred from Bank of America last summer) posted Friday. It posted as $90, not the $79 promised from Barclay's in the material they sent to get me to activate the account once transferred. When I called they absolutely refused to reduce it, saying they had bought the account from B of A with an annual fee of $90. They offered to waive a future fee, but as we know some of the benefits of the card require one to pay an annual fee. While the difference was only $11, it was enough to get me to cancel the account. Have others experienced this? I am probably a poor customer, given that I pay off the balance each month and use the card mostly for US Airways tickets.

I'm surprised they didn't offer to convert you to the no-fee card ($2/mile instead of the usual $1/mile). I converted to keep a way to extend my miles active.
