I've narrowed down my London weekend November stay to:
Grosvenor House
or
Executive Apartments, West India Quay
Which would you pick if the prices were comparable?

Depends on what you want to do when in London! For my money the Grosvenor House property is in a much better location.

I'd say Grosvenor either way, but if you are planning any tourist activities, I'd stress that opinion even more.

You're talking about complete opposites here in terms of character and location.
The Grosvenor House is a far more traditional London hotel option, definitely better suited for most leisure travelers.
The Executive Apartments would seem suitable if expecting to use the kitchen amenities; expecting to host or entertain others; or if specifically interested in the Canary Wharf/O2 corridor.
The Executive Apartments also have the negative of just 2.5 MR points per dollar and just one status night per three nights paid. That's a killer for most FTers.
That said, I'm actually a fan of the full-service Marriott West India Quay which has modern rooms, a good lounge and sometimes highly attractive weekend rates.
