Seems everyone has a Credit Card but I cannot find one for IC nor can I find anything about New Signup Bonuses, special promos, how many you get for stay with the HI/IC family of properties and for other expenditures. The only thing I see is 15,000 points for having a chase checking account. Is there a credit card for IC and if so, can you tell us more about it

On the main page of this forum is the following thread:

Thank You it is what I was looking for. Agree with your comments about being a new signee, using it for 3K and then putting it away.

When using it for HI nights, you would be getting the 10 points (most locations) plus 3 points by using this card, thus 13 points per dollar spent. You can compare that to Marriott where you would get the 10 points, plus 5 points with their card and currently a 20% bonus or 17 points per dollar spent. Fortunately IC hotels take less points in many cases than marriott does so earning less is offset by that a bit.

decisions, decisions....

Not sure what the earnings rate is like in the US, but for the UK Priority Club credit card, the earnings rate is so poor you get twice as many points by using a normal Amex card and then converting the Membership Reward points to PC points!

Nice sign up bonus, of course, so its still worth getting the card if you're UK based - just don't spend on it!

I just have it for the (sadly too many) places that don't accept my BA Amex. If I've got to use a card for a purchase I want to ensure I'm getting some points / miles for it.

Last time I stayed at Intercontinental, they didn't accept my PC card, said they had their own loyalty group that I would have to pay to join. It was a couple of years ago, so things may have changed...

The IC hotels still have their own branch of the programme (Amb / Royal Amb) which is separate to the main group Priority Club status levels (Plat and Gold) but this thread is talking about a credit card that will help accumulate points on general spend.
