Mileage Run Discussion - Will need 10 segs/10k miles on DL/NW - PLEASE HELP!

Hello Fellow FTers!

I have been bitten by the frequent flyer bug and wish to do a MR/SR soon. Here's the details:

- I have already hit PM on DL for the year. After my flight tomorrow, MDW-DTW-CMH, I will stand at 79,669 miles/108 segs.
- I will probably end up doing another 26 or so segments between November 5th and December 31st. I will probably be just shy of the reguired 140 segments for DM. I may be able to sneak in another segment or two with some biz trips to DFW, but that is an unknown right now. For the sake of argument, let us say that I will be about 8-10 segs short.
- I would like to do a SR or two on a Monday or Tuesday between now and the end of the year. I work out of my house and can easily work from anywhere.
- I have tried using ITA to no avail - I keep getting some sort of "Slice" error...
- I have never done a MR before ndwould be willing to stay overnight one night if need be.
- I would like to spend no more than $250 on the SR/MR, not including any hotel stay.
- I am based out of CMH but could drive to DAY if need be.

Any help my fellow FTers could provide would be greatly appreciated.

i'm not really up on dl, but i have thought of this a number of times....

how about looking into the mirror at your flights this year for times when you got segs cheaply or where you had multiple segs that could be had cheaply w/ advanced purchase?......good luck.....

Just confirmed that DE on DL is 125k instead of 100k miles. I am roughly 40k miles short and will probably not have the time to do such a MR between now and the end of the year. So, I will probably pursue a few small SRs. Can anyone point me in the right direction? The dates and times are still applicable from my original post.

Let me know if you find something. I am also based in CMH and will be 9k shy of Diamond Elite after next week. Still debating whether to make the push or carry-over 41k into 2010 towards Platinum. I booked CMH to SNA and LAX back to CMH for $300 ($200 with a $100 coupon I've been waiting to use). Also thinking of a weekend trip to London, Amsterdam, HNL or (brr) ANC all about $700.
