I can't seem to find an answer anywhere. Am planning December trip to Zuirch for a bit of shopping, was hoping to use some of my BMI miles but not too keen if it is 3x3 in business. Any suggestions/reconmedations.

Many thanks.

I not sure if it's the case for all LHR-ZRH flights, but I'm on LX317 in early January and the middle seats are all blocked off in C according to E/F.

If I understand their policy correctly, LX blocks the middle seats in their Airbuses but sells the middle seats in their Jumbolinos - it will be the last ones sold but nevertheless.

On very packed flights, they release the middle seats on the Airbusses - what happens regularely between ZRH and GVA and has been reported several times on ZRH-LHR.

This should be visible on any seatmap / reservation system in advance, surprises are unlikely in normal circumstances.

Your safest bet is to get on an A321. In those aircraft, the middle seats in C are physically blocked - there is a table instead of a seat. So no funny tricks possible, unless of course you suffer a gauge downgrade to A320.

Only on rows 1+2, for not exceeding the number of 200 seats for avoiding the need of an additional F/A.

Hola nois!

LX does certainly block the middle seats, I have flown quite a while with them and this seems to be the case. Once, on ZRH-TXL, the flight was quite oversold and they released the middle seats and the flight was more than packed... I wrote a letter to them complaining about the situation and quoting their information about their 'middle-seat free policy' on Airbuses and I got a quick answer from them plus a 150€ voucher for my next purchase with them... not bad.
