I enrolled for the 2DTRIAL2 offer end of Aug (see below for details:
"Per your request, I have made the appropriate 2DTRIAL2 offer updates
to your Gold Passport account.
Terms and conditions:
To receive Diamond Trial membership for 120 days, guest must submit a
copy of a current competitive statement comparable to Hyatt Gold
Passport Diamond status with stay activity to Hyatt Gold Passport
Customer Service via email address GPCS@hyatt.com by August 30, 2009.
Upon enrollment you will receive a trial Diamond membership for 120
days. To maintain Diamond membership through February 2011, member
must complete 15 eligible nights at any Hyatt Hotel & Resort
worldwide, Hyatt Place or Hyatt Summerfield Suites within 120 days of
enrollment")

I submitted a competitive statement earlier this week. Then received the following email:
"Thank you for your reply. We are pleased to inform you that your
account has been upgraded to our Diamond tier level, due to your
status with Starwood. This upgrade will be valid until February 28,
2011. Your tier status is effective immediately, and you should
receive your Gold Passport credentials within the next 3-5 weeks."

So I don't need the 15 nights? Was I just matched without any stay requirements? Confused...!

Yes they did it as a status match rather than the 2dtrial

Guess that's good. As typical frequent flyer (who's never happy with what I get...), wish I had known this. Would have not done the 8 stays and 11 nights over last 2 months. Would have put it towards SPG and been 75% towards Plat for next year with their nights advance program.

Oh well...

Hi anandrag, it's true, we are never happy, last week they gave me a suite, stuff it, I was only there for 12 hours, why give me this , now? Why not last week when I had a breezy week, would have loved laying on the day bed then watching CNN, Oh well, regards bkkrop
