From 2 November 2009, KLM will introduce two new booking classes on long-haul flights, X- and N-class.

X-class:
a new fully flexible economy fare, more expensive than S. The conditions will be the same as S- and B-class.

N-class:
a new promotional economy class fare, similar to v-class. N will not be available for flights to USA, Mexico & Canada.

So, with introducing X there will be even less seats available in Comfort Economy for us Platinum members!

What is this Comfort Economy? Some sort of premium economy product?

I dont understand your reasoning that with the introduction on X there will be less availability in premium economy for Platinum members. Arent Platinum members assumed to get their seats as soon as they have their booking, according to first come first served basis?

Rgs,

Yes, you are correct. However, with more full-fare tickets coming available, there will be more people getting free seating in the comfort economy zone, including the Platinum members.

Any advice on how to book tickets on N-class ? I see some KL flights from PTY to AMS showing avail on N class but cannot manage to make bookings using that fare-class.

Could married segment logic prevent you? Have you also checked the fare rules (e.g. a Sat night or minimum stay may be required)?
